Du-Bye Performance is proud to offer our Plug & Play TB48 MaxxECU + ZF 8HP Conversion Package for GU Patrols.
Converting your TB48 Patrol to a ZF 8HP transmission has never been easier. Our complete replacement engine and transmission harness has been designed to make the conversion as close to plug and play as possible, with only one wire required to be pinned into the vehicle.
The package retains factory OEM cluster operation and vehicle functionality, while integrating the TB48 engine, MaxxECU, ZF 8HP transmission, Drive-By-Wire throttle and BMW shifter into one purpose-built harness.

The harness is manufactured specifically for the conversion, eliminating the need to modify or patch together the factory engine harness.

Perfect for customers who already have their own sensors or want to configure the vehicle to their own requirements.

Option 2 – Complete Package with Sensors
For customers wanting a more complete setup ready for tuning and additional engine monitoring.
Includes everything from Option 1, plus:
- Bosch LSU 4.9 Wideband O2 sensor
- Intake Air Temperature sensor
- Oil pressure sensor
- Oil temperature sensor
- Fuel pressure sensor
- Flex Fuel sensor
- Boost control solenoid
Drive-By-Wire Integration
The 8HP package is designed around a full Drive-By-Wire conversion, using a Bosch DBW throttle body and ZD30 CRD electronic accelerator pedal.
Moving to DBW gives the MaxxECU greater control over the engine and allows access to modern features such as:
- Improved idle control
- Cruise control
- Throttle blip / rev matching
- Boost-by-gear
- Launch and torque management strategies
- Advanced throttle control
- Additional engine and transmission control strategies
MaxxECU SPORT
The MaxxECU SPORT provides an excellent entry point for a complete TB48 and ZF 8HP conversion while retaining the flexibility and tuning capabilities of the MaxxECU platform.
Please note that due to the available inputs and outputs of the SPORT ECU, factory Knock Control and Purge Control Solenoid functionality are not supported with this package.
Digital Dash & CAN Expansion
The harness includes an in-cabin CAN Bus expansion connection, making it easy to add additional CAN-based devices.
You can use MDash to display a digital dashboard directly from the MaxxECU via Bluetooth, or integrate compatible aftermarket displays such as:
- Haltech IC-7
- Haltech uC-10
- MoTeC C1212
- Other compatible CAN-based digital displays
Built for a Cleaner 8HP Conversion
